Membership Pass Terms & Conditions

1. Definitions

  • “Membership” refers to an annual membership for The Forbidden Corner.
  • “Member” refers to the named individual(s) holding a valid membership.
  • “Estate” refers to The Forbidden Corner and associated businesses at Tupgill Park, including food, drink, retail, accommodation, and events.
  • “Paid Events” refers to separately ticketed events not included in standard attraction entry.

2. Membership Validity

  • Memberships are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase.
  • Membership benefits apply during published opening dates and times only. Closure periods do not extend membership validity.
  • The expiry date will be recorded in our system and shown on the membership card or digital pass.
  • Membership benefits are available only while the membership is active.
  • Memberships expire automatically at the end of the validity period and do not renew automatically unless otherwise stated.

3. Entry to The Forbidden Corner

  • Membership provides unlimited standard entry to The Forbidden Corner during normal opening days and hours.
  • There are no blackout dates for standard attraction entry.
  • Entry is subject to capacity, safety requirements, and operational considerations.
  • Membership does not guarantee entry at a specific time unless a booking is made.

4. Paid and Ticketed Events

  • Membership does not include free entry to Paid Events, including seasonal or special events (e.g. scare events).
  • Members may be eligible for discounted tickets to selected Paid Events.
  • Event discounts are offered at our discretion and will be communicated via the members’ newsletter or official communications.
  • Event discounts are subject to availability and event-specific terms.

5. Bring-a-Friend Discount

  • Members may purchase up to five (5) discounted guest tickets per visit.
  • Bring a guest tickets receive a discount on standard ticket prices.
  • Discounted guest tickets must be booked in the same transaction as the member’s visit.
  • The member must attend on the same day as their guests.
  • Discounted guest tickets are invalid if the member does not attend.
  • Guest discounts cannot be combined with other promotions or offers.

6.  Membership Upgrade

  • Visitors who purchase standard tickets may upgrade to a membership on the same day as their visit.
  • The cost of standard tickets used that day will be deducted from the membership price, for the number of people covered by the membership.
  • Upgrades must be completed on the day of visit and cannot be applied retrospectively.
  • No refunds will be issued if the ticket value exceeds the membership price.

7. Food, Drink & Retail Discounts

  • Members receive a 10% discount on food, drink, and retail purchases across participating estate outlets.
  • Discounts apply only when a valid membership card or digital pass is presented.
  • Discounts must be applied in one single transaction.
  • Members may purchase items for friends or family in the same transaction.
  • Discounts cannot be split across multiple transactions.
  • Discounts cannot be combined with other offers or promotions.
  • Discounts may not apply on certain event or special dining dates.

8. Accommodation Discounts

  • Membership discounts on accommodation (holiday cottages or B&B rooms) may be offered from time to time.
  • Availability, discount value, and booking methods will be communicated separately.
  • Accommodation discounts are subject to availability and separate booking terms.

9. Membership Cards & Verification

  • Memberships are non-transferable.
  • A valid membership card or digital pass must be presented to access benefits.
  • If a card is forgotten, staff may verify membership via the membership database at their discretion.
  • We reserve the right to refuse benefits if membership cannot be verified promptly.

11. Misuse of Membership

  • Memberships may not be shared or used by anyone other than the named member(s).
  • Any misuse, attempted misuse, or breach of these Terms & Conditions may result in:
    • Refusal of benefits
    • Suspension or cancellation of membership
  • No refunds will be given in cases of misuse.

12. Renewal

  • Memberships may be renewed at the end of the validity period.
  • Renewal prices are the same as new membership prices unless otherwise stated.
  • Members who renew before expiry will retain uninterrupted access.
  • Renewal incentives may be offered from time to time but are not guaranteed.

13. Changes to Benefits

  • Membership benefits, discounts, and partners may change from time to time.
  • Any changes will not significantly reduce the overall value of the membership.
  • Changes will not extend membership validity or entitle members to refunds.

14. Refunds & Cancellations

  • Memberships are non-refundable once used.
  • Refunds may be considered only in exceptional circumstances at our discretion.
  • Unused memberships remain subject to these Terms & Conditions.

15. Data Protection

  • Personal data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
  • Membership data may be used to manage benefits, bookings, and communications.

16. General

  • We reserve the right to refuse entry or services where necessary for safety or operational reasons.
  • These Terms & Conditions are governed by English law.
  • By purchasing a membership, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
