To us the whole of October is Halloween, the "Strangest Place in the World" is embracing the spirit of the season. We’re invite you to step into a world where the gardens glow with autumnal gold and every corner holds a playful surprise.
Our Halloween celebration is designed to be enchanting, not hair-raising. It’s about soaking up the atmosphere, celebrating the harvest season, and enjoying a "cozy-spooky" day out that is perfect for explorers of all ages, especially the littlest monsters.
What to Expect During Your Visit
Throughout the month of October, the gardens will be transformed with seasonal decorations and a festive spirit. Unlike a traditional "scare attraction," there is no set route or frightening surprises. Instead, we encourage you to wander at your own pace and discover the magic hidden within the trees.
- Atmospheric Gardens: Enjoy the sights of pumpkins and autumnal displays nestled amongst our usual curiosities.
- The Halloween Quest: Pick up a seasonal questionnaire upon arrival. It’s a fun way to engage with the gardens as you explore.
- A Chance to Win: Once you’ve completed your questionnaire, you can enter our raffle draw for a chance to win a prize.
- Friendly Faces: You might spot our team in costume as you wander! They are there to add a dash of personality to the gardens, share a joke, and keep the atmosphere light and playful.
Join the Celebration: Halloween Day
If you are visiting us on Halloween Day (October 31st), we invite you to be part of the spectacle! We will be hosting our annual Costume Competition, a light-hearted celebration of creativity and festive spirit.
Whether you’re a tiny toadstool or a grand wizard, we want to see your best attire. Prizes will be awarded for:
- 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place
- Best Dressed Adult
It’s all about having fun and adding to the magic of the gardens, so don't be shy, dress to impress!
The Forbidden Corner is all about discovery so explore the decorations and explore as you navigate the labyrinth.
We focus on "gentle mischief" and festive fun at this event. There are no jump-scares or intense themes, making it ideal for families with young children who may be experiencing Halloween events for the very first time.
